USA Track & Field's 23rd Annual Meeting -- which brings together close to 1,300 of the sport's top administrators, athletes and volunteers -- will be held November 27 - December 1 in Mobile, AL. The majority of this year's meetings will be conducted at the Mobile Convention Center. The theme of this year's Annual Meeting is "A World of Opportunities."

Attendees will be able to choose from a variety of hotels, including the Adam's Mark, Radisson Admiral Semmes, Lafayette Plaza, Holiday Inn Express and Malaga Inn -- all within a few short blocks of the Mobile Convention Center. See housing form for rates and locations.

The Opening Session is slated for Wednesday, November 28 and the Closing Session will be Saturday, December 1. In addition, the Fall Cross Country National Championships will also be conducted on December 1. Other highlights of the 2001 Annual Meeting include:

• Wednesday Night Pardi Gras -- An Annual Meeting tradition, this welcome reception offers attendees the opportunity to renew old acquaintances, network with others in the sport, or make new friends - all in a relaxed atmosphere.
• Thursday Expo Breakfast -- Stop by our Expo Area Thursday morning for a pick-me-up cup of coffee and a quick bite to eat while meeting our exhibitors. Official USATF apparel will also be featured.
• Thursday USATF Golf Challenge -- Be a part of this inaugural event, and support some needy charities all at the same time. Fore!
• Thursday Night Social Reception, presented by Nike -- Take a break from meetings and join us for food, fun, libations and lots of surprises.
• Friday Breakfast Buffet -- Enjoy a hearty breakfast and a large dose of Southern Hospitality to start your day!
• Jesse Owens/Hall Of Fame Award Banquet, presented by XEROX -- This year, the Jesse Owens/Hall Of Fame Banquet will be held Friday evening. Meet some of yesterday's heroes as well as this year's MVPs. Guaranteed to be a great event.
• Saturday Night Block Party -- A Mobile-style send-off to close out your hectic schedule of meetings. Sure to be a big hit.
