About Teresa
Vaill broke the American record for the 20 km walk on the track at the 2005 USA Championships with her time of 1:33:28. She was the only American woman to make the Olympic team in the 20 km race walk after she won the 2004 Olympic Trials. With more than 20 years as an elite athlete, Vaill has been ranked nationally as a women’s race walker in the U.S. since 1986. She won her first national title indoors in 1984. At age 41, she made her first Olympic team in 2004 and became the oldest female track and field Olympian in history.
