INDIANAPOLIS -- Registration is now available for the 2015 .US National 12K, set for Sunday, November 15 in Alexandria, Virginia.
In its third year, the .US National 12K starts and finishes in Oronoco Bay Park, as the route follows the 2014 course and returns to the George Washington Parkway.
Early bird pricing is available through July 31 at $50 for USATF Members, military and police, while non-members will pay $55 per entry. Participants can register here.
Welcoming runners of all ages and abilities, the 2015 .US National 12K features an elite championship race, a Masters Championship race and a community race all at the 12-kilometer (km) distance in addition to a 1-mile race and a kids’ fun run.
All registered participants receive a Nike dri-fit t-shirt and finishers earn a custom-made medal. Finishers and their families are welcome to enjoy a family and dog-friendly post-race expo at Oronoco Bay Park. The awards stage features entertainment and a relaxing atmosphere with a chance to rub elbows with fellow fitness buffs as well as elite athletes.
The elite 12K race offers $100,000 in prize money as the season-capping event to the USATF Running Circuit, a series of races that annually provides nearly $1 million in total prize money to American runners.
The .US National 12K will once again be operated by Alexandria’s Pacers Events, who host a variety of running events throughout the year, provide various training and exercise programs around Washington D.C.
The .US National 12K will be broadcast live on USATF.TV.

The USATF Running Circuit (USARC) is a USA Track & Field road series featuring USATF championships from one mile through the marathon and consistently attracts the best American distance runners with more than $500,000 to be awarded in total prize money. The first ten U.S. runners earn points at each USATF Running Circuit race. For USATF Super Circuit events, including the .US National 12K, scoring is set as 30 for first, 24 for second, 20 for third, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2, with those earning the most points receiving prize money at the end of the series.
