Athletes announced for Team USA relay pools at Texas Relays


AUSTIN -- Relay pools for Team USA at the 88th Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays are set, as three quartets will wear the red, white and blue in Austin on Saturday. Four 4x100-meter relays will compete on Saturday, comprised of three men’s squads and one women’s squad.


The relay teams are below and subject to change. USA Red - Women is scheduled to compete at approximately 2:55 p.m. ET and the three men’s relays are slated for approximately 3 p.m. ET on the Longhorn Network.


USA Red (Women)

Jessica Young: 2015 USATF Indoor Champion 60m, seven-time All-American at TCU, member Team USA for 2009 IAAF World Championships in Berlin

Alex Anderson: 2009 NCAA 100m champion for Texas, 2011 USATF Indoor champion 60m, 17-time All-American

Lekeisha Lawson: 10th place in 60m at 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships, 3rd place 100m 2014 USATF Championships,

Kaylin Whitney: world record holder for under-18 in the 100m and 200m, gold in 200m and bronze in 100m at 2014 IAAF Junior World Championships, two-time Florida state champion in both events, forgoing high school and college track and field, making her professional debut at Texas Relays.

Charles Silmon: 2013 NCAA 100m champion; 2013 World outdoor silver medal – 4x100m relay

Mike Rodgers: Two-time USATF Indoor 60m champion (2008 & 2011); 2009 USATF Outdoor 100m champion

Isiah Young: 2012 Olympian; 2013 USATF 200m outdoor runner-up

Justin Gatlin: 2004 Olympic 100m gold medalist, 200m bronze medalist and 4x100m gold medalist; 2012 Olympic 100m bronze medalist


USA Blue (Men)

Sean McLean: 2011 Pan American Junior gold medalist in 4x400m relay

Maurice Mitchell: two-time NCAA outdoor 200m champion; 2012 World indoor champion – 4x400m relay

Raquiem "Mookie" Salaam: 2013 World Championship silver medalist in 4x100m relay; 2011 NCAA Indoor 200m champion

Ryan Bailey: 2012 Olympic 4x100m silver medalist; American 4x100m record holder


USA White (Men)

Joe Morris: 2015 USATF 60m runner-up

Justin Walker: NCAA All-American (100m)

Omo Osaghae: 2014 World indoor champion – 60mh

Aldrich Bailey Jr.: 2012 World Junior Championships gold medalist (4x100m relay, 4x400m relay)


The squads competing at the Texas Relays are just the first of American relays to compete this year. Team USA will put together squads to compete at USA vs the World at the Penn Relays, as well as the IAAF World Relays. The United States earned the inaugural Golden Baton at last year’s IAAF World Relays, scoring more points than any other country in the event.
