National Officials Committee Young Officials' Grants
The National Officials Committee (NOC) remains concerned about the number of young officials who are not financially able to travel to officiate USATF national championship meets. The Committee has created grants in order to encourage the development and advancement of younger officials, and to thereby expand the pool of experienced officials for national level meets.
Grants
The NOC will provide a $500.00 grant for up to 15 younger officials per year, to help offset expenses involved in officiating one of the following USATF national championships meets:

Masters' Indoor T&F

Hershey Youth Indoor T&F

Masters' Outdoor T&F
-
Hershey Junior Olympics T&F

Youth Outdoor T&F
-
Junior Olympic Cross Country
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Be a USATF certified official
-
Be 40 years of age or under

Have never been selected to officiate USATF Indoor Junior/Senior championship, USATF Outdoor Junior or Senior championship, Olympic Trials, or World championship.

Commit to officiating each day of the meet selected
Process
Applicants must complete and submit the application form below not later than December 15, 2018. The NOC Executive Committee will make selections from among qualified applicants and make notifications in late December. Grant recipients will be assigned to a crew and will be mentored and provided hands-on training at the competition venue. Grant recipients will be required to write a report of their experience and submit it to the NOC after the competition.
