Housing Information

Outrigger and OHANA Hotels & Resorts is the official hotel service of the 2005 USA Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships. They have a wide variety of properties in Waikiki, from top-of-the-line beachfront hotels, to clean and comfortable budget hotels just a block from the world's most famous sand and surf.

With nine hotels totaling 4,100 rooms in Waikiki alone, Outrigger/OHANA is the largest provider of sports-visitor accommodations in the Islands. Their central locations, economy prices, and family and team accommodations, make them especially popular with sports enthusiasts. All rooms are air conditioned. All properties are located 10 to 15 minutes from Cooke Field at the University of Hawaii.

Here follows a partial list of Outrigger/OHANA properties in Waikiki, with special "Masters Track & Field" rates that are deeply discounted from normal rates. University of Hawaii Dorm Rooms

Due to ongoing renovation, usable University of Hawaii dorm rooms are in short supply, and the number of rooms that will be available for the meet will not be known until January 2005. A limited number of rooms are expected to be available at that time and reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Cost will be approximately $20 per person per night, double occupancy. Dorm rooms are not air conditioned, but do include linens and pillows. Bathrooms are communal. Dorm occupants MUST also buy an on-campus meal package. If you do not provide the name of a roommate, one will be assigned. If you would like to have your name put on a list for a dorm room, please send an e-mail requesting same to zeug@hawaii.rr.com. Include your name, address, the number of rooms/beds you are requesting, and an e-mail address for a response.

Please Note: Booking airline and hotel accommodations, neighbor island excursions, and other activities through the official sources listed above helps fund the special free services being offered to participants. You might be able to find airline and hotel accommodations at better rates than the official sources, and we encourage you to be diligent in this regard. But if prices are equal or nearly so, we encourage you to book through the officials sources to help fund your Masters experience in Hawaii.
