Inclement Weather Plan

Effective communications are necessary in order for all parties involved with the USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships to understand where they need to park if the contingency parking plan goes into effect. The following avenues will be used to communicate any changes to the schedule due to inclement weather:

1. During registration, all athletes, coaches, and parents will be given the contingency parking plan along with the weather hotline number and website address to check for updates. Beginning in December, the hotline phone number (785-832-7999 ext. 1126) will offer up-to-date information about the schedule, road conditions, parking, and other developments.
2. The USATF website will be constantly updated as an additional source for information.
3. During the opening ceremonies on Friday night, if weather conditions warrant, information about parking conditions will be shared.
4. USATF host hotels will receive information - to share with their guests - about contingency plans.
